Best Hidden Gem Coffee Shops in Lancaster PA

You may think of Lancaster as a small town with not a lot of variety when it comes to food, but Lancaster county’s food scene has a little bit of everything – especially for coffee lovers. You don’t have to travel downtown to find the best spots either, don’t get me wrong downtown Lancaster has an amazing variety of coffee shops. BUT there are plenty, over 50 to be specific, coffee shop options throughout Lancaster county.

Instead of endlessly searching for “best coffee shops near me”, check out this list of some of my favorites!

Noel’s Cafe – After securing their drive thru location in summer 2025, Noel’s has become a go-to spot for me. Their seasonal menu always has such creative options, my most recent favorite being one of their February specials – a Chocolate Covered Cherry latte.

If you’re craving a taste of Noel’s after hours, they also operate mobile coffee trailers that are available for events in Lancaster and the surrounding areas.

Linden Coffee – Linden Coffee is about as Lancaster county as it gets – what was once a one room Amish schoolhouse, is now a gorgeous spot to grab a drink that overlooks picturesque farmland.

What originally drew me to Linden was their lotus energy drinks that truly look too good to drink, once I tried a coffee I was hooked! Head inside to get the full experience, or if you’re in a hurry stop by the drive thru window.

Hopeful Brews – Hopeful Brews coffee journey started as a mobile coffee truck.

Now their brick and mortar location in Ken’s Greenhouse is a tranquil spot to grab a drink and wander around a stunning greenhouse. They are also a great business to support not only because of their delicious drinks, but because a portion of each purchase goes to a non-profit.

Coffee and Cream – A cozy cafe that overlooks the Susquehanna river, Coffee and Cream has a little something for everyone. Their coffee / drinks menu includes classic options, as well as some more out of the box drinks like a Dirty Matcha with your choice of house or ceremonial matcha with a double shot of espresso.

If you want something to go with your coffee, try an Achenbach’s pastry (local favorite) or Hershey’s hand dipped ice cream if you’re craving something sweet.
